Gulf Air Fleet

Gulf Air operates one of the world’s youngest fleets, the result of a multi-billion dollar aircraft acquisition programme. The average age of aircraft is less than three years, a graphic illustration of Gulf Air’s commitment to modern technology and passenger comfort. The airline operates four passenger aircraft types; Airbus A340-300s for long and ultra-long haul flights; Boeing 767-300ERs for long and medium-haul, Airbus A330-200s for medium and long haul flights and Airbus A320-200s for short to medium haul sectors. The Gulf air network is now smoke-free

We are now a no-smoking airline system-wide

We have progressively introduced no-smoking rules on many of all flights since 1992, when flights to Singapore and Australia became smoke-free in line with the strong anti-smoking policies of those countries. Gulf Air has conducted extensive surveys of all passengers, an overwhelming majority of whom indicated that they were against smoking on board an aircraft. Looking at the need to introduce an Airline in the increasing flow of outgoing passenger we decided to try for GULFAIR. We were appointed General Sales Agent for GULFAIR on 1st day of August 1996. After acquiring the adequate revenue to make the Airlines on-line we were able to bring in the FALCON Carrier to the land of Himalayas on 4 July 1998. Continue reading “Background”
